Late in August in September is yielding all kinds of colors, wolf lichen, green walnuts, pokeberry, elderberry, newly forming oak galls, tons of acorns, red pine cones and the second harvest of my Japanese indigo...and weld! I've also been experimenting with plum tree sap as an alternative to imported gum arabic.

Look for new inks to be added as well as dye seeds, and natural dye stuffs all part of the colorshed here in El Dorado County. I'm a member of Fibershed and work to source products from the a radius of 200 miles or less. If you are unfamiliar with Fibershed, please check them out at
